In this time of our being apart, we seek ways that we can still "Be Church Together".
To that end the video service elements below are offered up that they might strengthen our sense of togetherness and provide a means of worship of our Great God, the provider. This week our online virtual service will continue a series of several weeks of having guest preachers. For this Sunday we are double blessed as we have not one but two guest preachers.
Pastor John Mocko of the North Carolina Synod had been scheduled back before the program of local guest pastors was arranged and so he comes to us first to bring us the Word of God in his sermon. And secondly, in a special presentation at the end of the service, Pastor John helps us understand the often unrecognized struggles that rostered pastors endure resulting from education related debts incurred while in seminary. But along with that understanding, he offers insight into a program that can be supported by congregations to help alleviate those struggles. Please stay with us for just a few more minutes after the Sending Hymn for this enlightening and important presentation. Our second guest pastor today The Reverend Scott Parnell Rector of Ware Episcopal Church here in Gloucester has an interesting take on today's scripture especially so for those of you who are gardeners so please be sure to give him an ear as well. We welcome both Pastors and their willingness to serve God and to share their time with us. Thanks to you both! |
