The ELCA Churchwide Assembly will be held in Phoenix, Arizona on July 28th—August 2nd. The Churchwide Assembly is held every 3 years. The Assembly is the primary decision-making body of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. There will be additional information in the July edition of The Epistle about the Assembly—most importantly, a successor to Presiding Bishop Elizabeth A. Eaton will be elected.
