As per Bylaw 10.08. The Service and Sharing Ministry Team is responsible for encouraging, strengthening and coordinating the congregation’s outreach ministries and for supporting members in living out their Christian calling of service to others. To meet this goal the team will:

• identify specific needs in the local community and develop helping responses to meet those needs
• involve members in active participation in and support of existing local ministries (for example, the Free Health Clinic, Food Pantry, Women’s shelter, Housing Partnership)
• raise awareness and support of Synod and ELCA ministries to those in need (for example, Lutheran Disaster Response, Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Family Services of VA, ELCA Global Mission)
• assist members to grow in their ability to witness to the good news of God’s love and grace through word and deed.
