For the next several weeks, Pete Liljeberg and Janet Gomez will alternate delivering the sermon and Pete will lead the liturgy. Also, after October 6th, they will be available should pastoral assistance is needed. Pastor Jay will possibly be available the last Sunday in October and the first Sunday in November to do the communion part of the liturgy. Pete and the Lay Assisting Minister will distribute communion for these services.
The second and third Sundays of October will be Service of the Word without communion.
Pastor Jay will be available by phone but will not likely be at the church for office hours until early November at the soonest.
Beginning October 15th, Pastor Jay will lead a “Prayer Chat” via ZOOM, each Thursday evening at 7 PM. This will consist of a Scripture reading, a responsive reading and a prayer. Following this brief worship, all who join will be able to take part in group conversation. It is anticipated that the Prayer Chat will last about an hour. During this time Pastor Jay will be available for conversation and invites your sharing of concerns or questions. The Prayer Chats will last until Pastor Jay resumes office hours.
We will try to let the congregation know about events, worship and Pastor Jay’s availability, if there are other changes. We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate through a few weeks when things may not match what we normally do.
