Apostles will now be sponsoring 4 children in Guatemala through the Partners in Development Child Sponsorship Program. Pablo Rocael Emiliano Solorzano Quino is the newest sponsored child—the other 3 children are Manuela, Amayra, and Hugolino. Pablo is in his 1st year of primary school. He likes to play soccer, to sing, and to go to school. His father works as a day laborer assisting in the cultivation and harvesting of bananas, but he earns a low salary. Pablo is the youngest of the 4 children. The house the family lives in is theirs and has thin sheets of wood, a metal sheet roof, and a dirt floor. They all live in but one room. Sponsored children receive nutritional support for them and their family, complete medical and dental care, new clothes and shoes for school. During the recent mission trip to Guatemala, the team met with our sponsored children and gave them gifts. Several members of the congregation also sponsor children.
