News and Updates for Our Community of Faith

 

- Pastor Jay will be in the office on Wednesday from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM and on Thursday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Pastor Jay is also available by phone and email - 570-205-7506 and j80j84@msn.com. 

- We are celebrating the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity this week with gatherings every day - the schedule is attached. If you can't attend the daily gatherings, we hope you can join us for the joint worship service at Newington Baptist Church (on Main Street) on Thursday, January 22nd, at 7:00 PM. The offering has been designated for the Jubilee Church fund.  

- The Nominating Committee will be meeting on Zoom, Monday night at 7:00 PM. 

- The Worship Ministry Team will be meeting Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Anyone is welcome to attend!

- The Preaching Guild will be meeting on Thursday, January 22nd, at 2:00 PM. 

- We are providing lunch for the clients of GUEST this week - thanks to Janet Gomez, Ray and Lynn Scholz and Linda Hodges for doing this!!

- We will have an agape worship service on Sunday in the fellowship hall followed by the annual congregational meeting. Please bring a brunch dish to share. 

- We will be collecting supplies for the health kits for the medical mission trip to Guatemala for the next few weeks - please provide an entire kit - soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, Band-Aids, comb and lip balm.

- Finally, we wish Ben and Margaret farewell and Godspeed as they move to Baltimore this week - we will miss you!!!
