- "FAITH 5" SUNDAY SCHOOL - Linda is asking for help for the upcoming Sunday School on Friday, November 6th, at 6:00 PM - Linda needs (1) an additional person to help and (2) someone to provide the meal for the children (to include a vegetarian option). If you are willing to help, please contact Linda.

- JUBILEE CHURCHES will be meeting on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Bellamy United Methodist Church.

- PASTA WITH A PURPOSE CELEBRATION will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM - join Bishop Phyllis Milton and the Virginia Synod Hunger Task Force (Betsy Liljeberg is the chairman) for a virtual gathering to celebrate the campaign’s impact, recognize the top donating congregations, and share practical ways your congregation can care for neighbors facing hunger during the upcoming holiday season and throughout the year. - ADULT CHOIR will practice on Wednesday at 7:00 PM - come sing with us regardless of your musical experience!!

- PREACHING GUILD will be meeting on Thursday at 12:30 PM.

- PRAYER CHAT WITH PASTOR JAY will be Thursday at 7:00 PM on Zoom. You can join the prayer chat from the Apostles website or click ZOOM Prayer Chats. There will also be a separate email Zoom invitation sent out on Thursday morning.

- WORLD FOOD DAY is Friday, October 16th - World food day is a day set aside by the United Nations to consider those in our communities, as well as our neighbors around the globe, who are food insecure or experiencing hunger. It is an excellent day to remember our neighbors with prayer. “God of provision and plenty, you bless us and call us your own. Help us share your abundant love with people who are oppressed, hungry and experiencing homelessness. Open our hearts and hands to the needs of others. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great. Amen.

- APOSTLES WOMEN'S GROUP has been CANCELLED for this month because of God's Work, Our Hands - we will resume in November.

- GOD'S WORK, OUR HANDS is scheduled for Saturday, October 17th, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

- TIME & TALENT IN OCTOBER!! During the month of October, the 4 ministry teams of Apostles - Administration, Caring Community, Service and Sharing and Worship - will have a brief temple talk at the beginning of the worship service to re-familiarize the congregation with their ongoing ministries and opportunities for the congregation to serve. This coming Sunday, October 18th, we will be hearing from the Service and Sharing Ministry Team - team leader is Pete Liljeberg. If you missed signing up for the Caring Community Ministry Team this past Sunday, the Time & Talent form is attached. - ELCA WORLD HUNGER SUNDAY is this Sunday - please remember your offering - UNTIL ALL ARE FED!!

- FINALLY (whew), Sue Turner was recognized yesterday for serving as Adult Choir Director. Please enjoy the picture and a big THANK YOU to Irene Albert for the delicious Black Forest cake!!
