- PASTOR JAY will be taking part in the Gathering of the Ministerium Monday through Wednesday and will NOT have office hours this week. Pastor Jay is available by phone and email - 570-205-7506 and j80j84@msn.com. 

- THE GATHERING OF THE MINISTERIUM is an annual event for all rostered ministers, interns, vicars, actively serving synod authorized ministers, and spouses who are living or serving in the Virginia Synod. The purpose of the gathering is to meet, reconnect, worship, relax, learn, sing, pray, and play together while overlooking the ocean. Please keep this gathering in your prayers this week!!

- ADULT CHOIR will practice on Wednesday at 7:00 PM - come sing with us!!! 

- INPUT NEEDED FOR OCTOBER EDITION OF THE EPISTLE - please send anything you would like to see in the October edition of The Epistle to Janet at thezemogs@gmail.com by Tuesday, September 29th. 

- "FAITH 5" SUNDAY SCHOOL - this Friday, October 2nd at 6:00 PM!! We are trying something a little different this year - we will be meeting once a month on the first Friday of the month from 6:00 PM -7:30 PM. We will be using the "Faith 5" curriculum - Share, Read, Talk, Pray and Bless. We will also have dinner. If you would like to help or need more information, please contact Linda Hodges. 

- FOR YOUR INFORMATION, the GUEST Board will be having a retreat at Apostles on Saturday, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. 

- NEW MEMBERS will be received during the worship service on Sunday - welcome to Apostles!!!   

- TIME & TALENT IN OCTOBER!! During the month of October, the 4 ministry teams of Apostles - Administration, Caring Community, Service and Sharing and Worship - will have a brief temple talk at the beginning of the worship service to re-familiarize the congregation with their ongoing ministries and opportunities for the congregation to serve. First up this coming Sunday, October 4th, will be the Worship Ministry Team - Sue Turner is the ministry team leader.
