World Food Day

World Food Day is Friday, October 16, 2026.

World food day is a day set aside by the United Nations to consider those in our communities, as well as our neighbors around the globe, who are food insecure or experiencing hunger. It is an excellent day to consider donating to Lutheran World Hunger, and to remember our neighbors with prayer.

“God of provision and plenty, you bless us and call us your own. Help us share your abundant love with people who are oppressed, hungry and experiencing homelessness. Open our hearts and hands to the needs of others.
Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
